/24-7PressRelease/ - COPPELL, T - November 29, 2006 - For over 3 years, MasterGuard has funded the NSEFO annual conference with sponsorships for various events at the meeting. A portion of the proceeds from each smoke, heat or carbon monoxide alarm sold by MasterGuard is reserved for the fund. From these dollars, MasterGuard's Education Fund provides grants for educational seminars and symposiums. This year's event was hosted by Little Rock Fire Chief, Rhoda Mae Kerr. In attendance for the event were graduates of the National Fire Academy and distinguished members of the fire service. Ronny J. Coleman, past president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and former California State Fire Marshal was in attendance. The keynote speaker for the awards banquet which was held at the Clinton Presidential Library was James Lee Witt. MasterGuard Vice President, Chris Roberts, addressed the NSEFO members at the golf tournament and thanked them for their ongoing efforts in continued education.

Unfortunately, there is little opportunity to practice the use of the rescue tools needed to remove a patient from a badly damaged vehicle. Over 25 Fire Departments from different states participated in the National Challenge at FireRescue Expo in Vegas. Teams from Florida to Washington competed for the coveted National Championship in Limited, Unlimited and Overall categories. The awards for the event are sponsored by MasterGuard Fire Safety Solutions. MasterGuard has been sponsoring the Fire Service through events like this for over 5 years. MasterGuard provides funding to TERCUSA which is the governing body overseeing the competitions at Regional, National and International levels. The Fire Department Teams compete and learn from each other. The mission is to save lives through education and creative learning environments. Over 500 firefighters were in attendance. Along with the teams who competed, Jim McMullen, Retired California State Fire Marshal and current Chair of the Presidential Advisory Committee to the NFPA applauded the efforts of the event. MasterGuard Teams Up With Water-Jel Technologies to Bring Burn Care to The Home
MasterGuard and Water-Jel team up to distribute thousands of burn kits to homeowners.

"The Water-Jel people came to us with this idea because they knew we had an excellent education based marketing plan. Consumers need this product in their home, but the average person doesn't believe they can be burned, so they pass it up in stores." MasterGuard has been offering high quality fire protection for residential use since 1971. "This seemed to be a natural fit for us, we have the product, they have the distribution network," said the Vice President of Sales for Water-Jel, Lane Card. Water-Jel is found in the U.S. Military and in every Marine's survival vest. The Secret Service has it and the White House keeps it on hand. MasterGuard grants sponsorship funds for event to be held at South Hill Mall on June 6-10, 2007.
/24-7PressRelease/ - COPPELL, TX, April 19, 2007 - The 1st Annual Pile-up in Puyallup started in 2005 when the Puyallup Fire Auto Extrication Team was asked to host a TERC (Transportation Emergency Response Committee) http://www.terc.org/ Regional Auto Extrication Competition. The team who had been competing since 2000 at the regional, national, and international levels gladly agreed. Captain Jeff Pugh added, "We felt strongly that we wanted this event to grow and to bring a national level quality to this event while exposing as many fire rescue departments to the many invaluable training opportunities. Hosting this event gave us the outlet to follow our motto: Teach, Learn, Train".
Each smoke, heat, carbon monoxide, gas and radon detector as well as fire extinguisher and escape ladder sold by MasterGuard adds to the fund. MasterGuard's Education Fund is used for many endeavors encompassing better education for the fire service, safety related events, and charitable organizations. "This event gives us the perfect fit. Extrication training is about saving lives and MasterGuard's mission statement is to Protect the world... one family at a time.
